Al-Mutanabbi Street Broadsides Project & Touring Exhibition

To protest & commemorate the bombing of al-Mutanabbi Street on March 5th 2007. Al-Mutanabbi Street is the historic centre of bookselling in a mixed Shia- Sunni area of Baghdad The Al-Mutanabbi Street Coalition, founded by San Francisco poet and bookseller, Beau Beausoleil, has been organising readings and other events  as fundraisers for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) since 2007.

As part of this, 130 letterpress printers from all over the world have contributed editions of 15 broadsides each. 130 represents the number of people killed or injured in the bombing.
