Al-Mutanabbi Street Broadsides Project & Touring
ExhibitionTo protest & commemorate the bombing of al-Mutanabbi Street on March 5th 2007. Al-Mutanabbi Street is the historic centre of bookselling in a mixed Shia- Sunni area of Baghdad The Al-Mutanabbi Street Coalition, founded by San Francisco poet and bookseller, Beau Beausoleil, has been organising readings and other events as fundraisers for Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) since 2007. As
part of this, 130 letterpress printers from all over the world have
contributed editions of 15 broadsides each. 130 represents the number
